Ladakh Group Tour Packages

Ladakh trips for friends, riders and extended families, with shared vehicles, camp bookings, clear safety planning and realistic road buffers.

Need a different route or pace?

Tell us your travel dates, group size, starting point, preferred stay category and budget range. We will use those details to prepare a more relevant Ladakh plan.

Groups love Ladakh for the shared moments: the first view of Pangong, a late night in a camp, the silence at the top of a pass. But groups also bring planning problems that individuals do not face. Camp capacity is limited, vehicles are regulated, and a single person with altitude sickness can change the plan for everyone.

What changes for a group

  • Camps and rooms. The best camps at Nubra and Pangong have limited tents. We reserve them early and confirm the layout, such as shared or attached bathrooms.
  • Vehicles. Taxis in Ladakh run under local union rules. Groups usually travel in several cars or a tempo traveller, depending on the route.
  • Altitude differences. People acclimatise at different speeds. We build the first days to give everyone time, and agree in advance how the group will handle someone who needs to rest.
  • Costs. Vehicles are shared across the group, though camps and permits are usually priced per person.
  • Road risk. A closure affects everyone, so we keep spare days and a decision-maker on the ground.
  • Friends' trip. Leh, Nubra and Pangong in seven or eight days, with a western-route day.
  • Road trip. Manali to Leh by road, with a flight or road return.
  • Riders' support plan. A support vehicle and accommodation for a bike group that rides itself, with the usual caution about experience and weather.
  • Extended family. The classic route at a slower pace.

Tips for group leaders

Confirm headcount and ID details early. Ask each person about health conditions and prior altitude experience, and share a packing list. Agree rules about alcohol, which should be avoided in the first days. Appoint one person to talk to us, and one to carry a basic first-aid kit.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I ride a motorcycle to Ladakh?

Many travellers do, from Manali or Srinagar. It is a serious undertaking: high passes, rough roads, cold, altitude and weather. Ride only if you are experienced, wear proper gear, acclimatise properly and keep a support vehicle if possible. Do not rush the passes, and respect the local rules on rented bikes.

What are the camps at Pangong and Nubra like?

Most are basic tent or cottage camps with shared or attached bathrooms, limited hot water and simple meals. Nights are very cold, even in summer. Quality varies, so ask about bedding, heating, bathrooms and noise before booking, and avoid camps that leave waste or run loud music.

Are the roads to Ladakh open year-round?

No. The Manali to Leh highway usually opens around late May and closes in mid to late November. The Srinagar to Leh highway generally opens earlier and closes later but also depends on snow. Both can be blocked for hours or days by snowfall, landslides or flash floods, so we keep spare days and prefer flights for tight schedules.
