How to choose a Kashmir package
Start with three questions: how many days do you have, where are you starting from, and who is travelling? Five to six days from Srinagar suits most first-time visitors. Seven days from Jammu gives you the road-loop classic. A week with Katra adds the Vaishno Devi yatra.
Next, think about pace. Couples and families often prefer fewer hotel changes and a spare day, while groups tend to want the full valley in a week. The packages above show typical routes; each one can be changed, and you will receive the final inclusions and exclusions in a written quote.
What to compare between packages
- The route and the number of hotel changes. A route with fewer moves is usually more relaxing.
- Where you start and finish. Srinagar saves a day over Jammu.
- Meal plan. Breakfast and dinner are common; lunch is usually separate.
- Local costs. Gulmarg Gondola tickets, ponies and local union cabs are paid directly in most cases.
- Season and hotel category. Both change the price more than the route does.

To prepare a useful quote we need the travel dates (or a flexible window), the number of adults and children with their ages, your starting city, the kind of stay you prefer, and a rough budget. We will also ask about anything that limits the plan, such as mobility needs, dietary requirements or a fixed return flight. None of this is a commitment; it simply lets us give you a realistic route and price instead of a generic one.

Should I start my Kashmir trip from Jammu or Srinagar?
Fly into Srinagar if you have five days or fewer; you save a full day of road travel. Start from Jammu if you are travelling by train, want to combine Vaishno Devi with Kashmir, or enjoy road journeys. The Jammu to Srinagar drive takes most of a day.
How many days are enough for Kashmir?
Five days covers Srinagar, Gulmarg and Pahalgam without rushing. Six or seven days lets you add Sonamarg and Doodhpathri at a comfortable pace, which most families prefer. A weekend is possible from Srinagar, but you will see only Srinagar and one hill destination.
What are local union cabs and why are they not included?
In Pahalgam, Sonamarg and parts of Gulmarg, local sightseeing is done only by locally registered taxis and ponies, and outside vehicles are not permitted on those routes. Those charges are usually paid directly on the spot, so your package covers the journey to the town while these local legs stay separate. We list this clearly in every quote.
Do I need to book the Gulmarg Gondola in advance?
Yes, in peak season. Tickets are sold online through the cable car operator and popular slots, especially for the second phase, sell out on weekends, holidays and snow days. The ride can also be suspended in bad weather, so we suggest a buffer day in Gulmarg or a flexible slot.
